The journey in getting an advanced degree like a PhD is not easy. The median years taken to complete an American doctorate degree is between 7 and 8 years,² while in the UK, it is between 5 and 7 years.³

My name is Dr David Yoong and I completed my PhD research thesis in 1.5 years back in 2008 in La Trobe University, Australia. I have also published articles in academic tiered journals like Discourse & Society and Text & Talk.

I am also former Deputy Dean of Research and Development at the University of Malaya. Examining thesis, reviewing articles for journals, teaching research methodology, and supervising research students are all part of my role as a trainer and academic.  

My passion is to continue teaching and supervising postgraduate researchers of various disciplines on ways to produce a satisfying research as quickly as possible and to enjoy the process whilst doing it.
